SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

Shockwave Therapy

Radial shockwave (RSW) has its origins in post world war Germany when they observed lung damage attributed to the explosion of bombs without any external trauma. As their study of this advanced the Germans began to refine and develop medical applications for shockwave therapy. In the 1980’s they successfully applied RSW for the treatment of kidney and gallbladder stones. Its development has continued over the years and it is now one of the most preferred non invasive treatment techniques offered in physical therapy clinics across North America.

RSW has a number of benefits including pain reduction, increased circulation, cellular proliferation and treatment of scar tissue.
